A Scandinavian tale of prejudice, openness, ice–cold insecurities, and much more.

The Law of Jante is a book exploring Scandinavia seen through The Law of Jante, a set of 10 commands that says no one should feel any better or more special than anybody else. This “law” is supposedly dominant in how people think and behave in the north, for better or worse.

This book explores The Law of Jante in ten chapters as a Scandinavian tale of prejudice, open- ness, ice–cold insecurities, and much more. All manifested in a book that (for the most part) doesn’t want to stand out.
