Merging radical politics, Gandhian nonviolence, serious rock and roll [and] lots of drugs.

Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness is book that traces crucial events, untold tales, and intimate and personal stories through a bibliography of photographic documentation and visual and textual informations arranged chronologically from the late ‘60s to the early ‘70s.

Recalling the generation of freedom born in jeans and miniskirts, full of hunger for culture and the desire to always share with others. Through this book, we want to highlight the relationship between music and politics and specifically that be- tween music and protest, but also how each generation have to fight for their rights and for their free- dom, because it’s never acquired.

“Freedom can never be taken for granted. Each generation must
safeguard and extend it. Use this precious right to ensure that
the darkness of the past never returns.”
