What was the most memorable experience you had in Barcelona?
I went to the Palau de la Música Catalana to look at the stained glass - and while I was sitting in the gallery the organist started practicing. I am a pianist and love classical music, so sitting in a beautiful space surrounded by glass and listening to this surprise concert was a really special moment for me.
What’s next for you?
I always have a few weird ideas cooking - next up I will grow my stained glass studio in the US, build my cargo van into a house for traveling in, and use it to try new cities to work as a mobile app designer.
What do you need in your working space?
For computer design throw me a coffee and a laptop and I can work anywhere. But of course for glass making there are quite a lot of tools you need.
If you weren’t a designer what would you be?
I would have loved to be a carpenter or work in medicine. Anything where you can work with your hands, other people, and think on your feet.
Who do you look up to or where do you find inspiration?
I look at old things - especially in different mediums to the one I am working in. I also find a lot of inspiration in thinking about how people do things or what they need, and how it could be better.
What is your favorite midnight snack?
